If you have dry, sensitive skin, or are looking to start anti-ageing skincare, this bright orange oil, fit for royalty, is what you need.
Sea buckthorn oil has been used since ancient times in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine for a variety of skin conditions. It is cold-pressed from berries shipped all the way from the Karakoram mountains and is chock-full of vitamin A (which is also why its colour is bright orange), vitamins C and E, and antioxidants.
It is the richest source of the extremely rare omega 7 fatty acid, which is known for its healing, anti-inflammatory and collagen building properties. Sea buckthorn oil also contains essential fatty acids that help rebuild a damaged skin barrier making it great for people with sensitive skin and eczema as well.
This oil isn't easy to source, which is why it's pricey but it's worth every rupee and isn't our founder's favourite without reason. Give it a go for yourself and see why she loves it. ♥️
How to use:
To use apply directly, as a moisturiser, to cleansed skin after applying lighter, water-based treatments. Alternatively, mix a few drops with other treatments, moisturisers, or oils prior to application.
Sea buckthorn oil has a strong yellow colour due to its high carotenoid and lycopene concentration. The colour washes off when you wash your face. However, given this, the oil is best used at night. It is suitable for all skin types, with the exception of skin prone to fungal acne.
