AccuFix Powerhouse Retin-oil Serum 30 ML

DESCRIPTION

Contains a gentler version of retinol known as retinyl palmitate along with vitamin C, vitamin E and squalane. Targets acne, acne marks and all the visible signs of skin aging including pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles. Available in 3 strengths. Fungal acne safe. Formulated without dyes, fragrance, and essential oils.

Notes:

  • This serum contains the retinyl palmitate equivalent of retinol. For e.g. if the packaging says 0.5%, that means that the amount of retinyl palmitate dissolved in the serum is equivalent in its activity to 0.5% retinol.
  • Avoid using retinoids if you're pregnant.

How to use:

Here’s how you can incorporate our retinol serum into your nighttime skincare routine for best results:

  • Wash your face with our Hydrating Gentle Daily Cleanser.
  • Massage a few drops of this product into damp or dry skin after cleansing. If you're new to retinoids, start slowly with the lowest concentration, 2-3 times a week. Gradually increase concentration and frequency as your skin adapts to the product.
  • Finish with a moisturizer like our Crème B3-B5-E Moisturiser with 4% niacinamide for optimal results.

Always remember however, that having a serum in your routine doesn't mean that you can forget about the basics: cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF. Great skin isn't built with one product. It requires a good overall skincare routine, consistency and patience. For a comprehensive anti-aging regimen, you can purchase our anti-ageing bundle, which includes this product and everything else that you need to fend off the signs of aging.

A note on retinoids and purging: During the initial stages of using retinol, some individuals may experience a phenomenon known as "purging," where the skin appears to worsen before improving. This is due to the accelerated shedding of skin cells, leading to the surfacing of underlying pimples and imperfections. Purging typically manifests as small, red pimples and may be accompanied by peeling and irritation. While it can be disconcerting, purging is temporary, and is followed by a noticeable improvement in skin texture and appearance. To minimize irritation during this period, it is recommended to introduce retinol gradually into your skincare routine and ensure adequate moisturization and sun protection.

Retinoids are not recommended for use during pregnancy.
