The patient complains of grumbling (producing deep continuous sound) and pain in the abdomen. He also sends out acidic belches and his mouth discharges saliva in a large quantity. He feels that in his body there is a mass of steam which sometimes rushes upwards to his head and sometime downward. If the mass rushes towards the heart, it seems to be bursting or sinking.
